Suzette Johnson graduated from Hayden High School in 1985 and attended the University of Montevallo, graduating in 1990 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.  She completed her Master's in Education degree in Elementary Education in 1994, also from the University of Montevallo.

Mrs. Johnson has been the Literacy Coach at HMS for four years.  As the Literacy Coach, she works alongside classroom teachers, planning strategic lessons, providing professional development, and ensuring success for students in intervention programs.  Prior to becoming the Literacy Coach, Mrs. Johnson taught fifth grade at HMS.

Mrs. Johnson and her husband, Charley, have two sons, Will and Ben.  They are active members of their church, where she sings on the praise team, serves on the women's ministry and youth leadership teams. Her hobbies include reading, spending time with family, and shopping.
